Peak experiences have been described as sudden feelings of profound happiness and well-being, or those moments at which you become aware of some deeper truth, such as the unity and interconnectedness of all things, or an understanding of your own relationship with the world.

Abraham Maslow described these moments as self-justifying, self-validating events that possessed intrinsic value—and he felt all individuals had the ability to experience them. Have you experienced something like this? Some people have found these moments while hiking, or out in nature; others when gazing at their children or grandchildren; others while merely engaged in the miracle of the day-to-day. What about you?

Do you consider yourself an activist? How have you become more aware in your life, and how has this affected your attitude toward activism? Do you think it's more important to raise awareness in hopes that others might change, or do focus on "being the change" in your own life?
