Imagine someone gave you the capital (and necessary team) to start the business of your choice. What sort of company would you found? A new holistic health care center? A day-care based on love? A design company that helped nonprofits present themselves better? A business that brought the wisdom of the elderly to youth, helping both feel better connected in the world? A gallery to showcase your art, or the art of your community? Or something altogether different?

Think for a moment about what you love to do. And then think about those areas in the world where you see something missing, and something that needs to be changed. And then . . . come share your dream. :)

Seriously! Big business gets blamed for many of the problems in the world. There's a tendency to point fingers at box stores and corporate behemoths, and a cry for these giants of industry to "change their ways."

At Zaadz, we're all about being the change. And so imagine, for a moment, that you were the CEO of one of the companies you'd like to see acting differently. Pretend you have a few million employees depending on you for a paycheck, and many millions more depending on your products or services in their daily lives. What steps would you take? How would you change the world?

While the media tends to focus on dramatically negative environmental news, it's also true that there's an extraordinary amount being done by people and organizations and communities and businesses who care, and who are acting to change things for the better. There are hundreds of companies--large and small--who act in environmentally responsible ways and who hold themselves to high ethical standards. Unfortunately, though, they're not often talked about. What do you feel is the best way to enourage these businesses? How can we best support them?
